This article is devoted to the issues of digital transformation, which currently determines the priority directions of the development of society, economy and production sector in most states. In Russia, digital transformation is gaining strategic importance, which is confirmed by the national program «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation». «Industry 4.0» is based on the integration of digital technologies into production processes, and opens up new opportunities to increase competitiveness and ensure sustainable business development.It aims to create «smart factories» capable of self-organization, self-learning and adaptation to changing conditions. These technologies enable enterprises to become more flexible and adaptive, which in turn increases their competitiveness in the global market. and ensures sustainable business development. The purpose of this article is to consider the possibilities and prospects for the widespread implementation of Industry 4.0 achievements in industrial enterprises and to analyze the problems and constraints that arise in this process, as well as to make recommendations for the further development of the digital transformation of industry. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that digitalization and the introduction of Industry 4.0 technologies into industrial production is an inevitable process that opens up huge opportunities for efficiency improvement and sustainable development. These technologies have significant potential to transform traditional sectors of the economy, increasing efficiency, productivity and competitiveness. However, to achieve success, it is necessary to recognize and overcome existing problems, which are very multifaceted and require a systematic approach to solving. The novelty of this study lies in an attempt to consider the patterns and prospects of introducing Industry 4.0 technologies into the production processes of enterprises, based on the actualization of their needs in the current situation and the possibilities for further development.
